ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS
LAND The proposed development calls for the in-fill of almost all of the wetlands, as well as the removal of 93% of the existing trees on the property (106 trees). |
TREES The parcel at the corner of SW 48th Ave. and SW Pendleton St. is an intact, wooded wetlands that is a habitat for native wildlife and flora, and through which Pendleton Creek flows. |
WATER This portion of Pendleton Creek feeds the key SW tributary of Fanno Creek. The stormwater plan being proposed is not just sub-optimal – it isn’t close to adequate, and poses known risks to the entire neighborhood. This video illustrates the major gaps in the proposed plan. |
